Rob Ghio
This potpourri basket is 16 inches tall, 11 inches wide, with a geometric design burned on the base and handle.

Bert Petrie
There are ten total gourds in this piece.  All are cut out and come apart, except for the one in the middle which is permanent and a whole gourd.  A color key helps to put it back together.

"A gourd day at the zoo" is a carousel with 5 zoo animals around the carousel and an owl on the top. The gourd is 12" x 12". The carousel is made out of several gourds that have been cut, and then wood burned, painted and stained.

This beaded butterfly vase was created using the Huchinol Beading method. Seed beads with Dichroic glass.

The cut out butterflies and ivy on this 5” x 5” gourd create a luminary. It includes a battery powered flicker candle. The detail work on the designs was done with pyrography, vinegar dye and acrylic. The inside of this gourd still has the natural, white  “mother of pearl”  surface which increases the luminosity of the candle.
