The Kansas City Gourd patch has been meeting regularly since its first meeting on November 3, 2007. Here is how the group currently operates.
Gatherings currently take place quarterly at the home of Bill and Donna Decker in Greenwood on a Saturday in February, May, August, and November. Gatherings start at 10:00 am and last as long as
needed to complete the "project" on the agenda. Members brown bag their lunch, with one or two members bringing a dessert to share.
Each gathering features a "hands-on" project where we learn new skills along with some "show and tell." Members are invited to bring a current problem or project to get help or advice from other
members.
Note: There is no charge for attending the regular patch meetings. However, there may be a nominal charge for any supplies provided for the scheduled project. Also, if we set up a special meeting
and invite someone to teach, there may be a nominal charge for the class materials and supplies.
Gourdpatch member Barbara Van Vleck is the coordinator for this patch. If you would like information about joining this patch or
would like to have your name put on the mailing list for event announcements, please email Barbara and be sure to put KC Gourdpatch in the subject line.
