Call for Workshop Teacher Proposals!

It is time to send in workshop proposals for the SMGS 2021 Festival!!!!

Please send proposal form to our SMGS Workshop Coordinator:

Things to know:

  • SMGS will add $5.00, $10.00, or $15.00 to 2 hour, 4 hour and all day classes respectively, to the cost that the teacher wants to receive for their workshop. For example, if the teacher’s fee is $35.00 for a 4 hour class, the workshop fee will be advertised as $45.00. (The SMGS fee covers rent, tables, chairs, advertising, etc.)
  • Workshop teachers will receive payment by mail two to three weeks after the festival. If there are any questions or problems, the Workshop Coordinator should be contacted.
  • The teachers set a minimum number of students required in order to accommodate their time and travel expenses. A workshop registration deadline is also set. The current registration counts will be conveyed to teachers on Friday, 4 weeks prior to the festival. If the teacher’s minimum has not been met, they may decide to cancel that workshop. If a teacher decides to cancel a workshop, SMGS asks to be notified by Wednesday of the following week.
  • The last day to register for workshops online is the Monday prior to the SMGS Festival. After this date workshop registrations will be taken on a walk in basis, according to availability at the SMGS Festival. Registrations for non-canceled classes will still be accepted up to and during the festival, provided the teacher is able to accommodate walk-ins.
  • Workshop teachers do not have to pay admission to the festival.
